Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out how you may and may not use Midium. It forms part of our Terms of Service at /legal/terms. Capitalised terms used here have the meaning given in the Terms. By using the Service you agree to comply with this AUP.

What we expect

We expect you to use Midium in good faith, for personal entertainment, in compliance with applicable law, and with respect for other users and for the integrity of the Service.

What is not permitted

You agree that you will not, and will not permit any other person acting on your behalf to:

Account integrity

  • create, register, control, or use more than one Midium account, regardless of the means used (separate emails, separate devices, family or friends' identities, secondary phone numbers);
  • share, sell, lease, or otherwise transfer your account or your credentials;
  • impersonate another person, or misrepresent your age, identity, country of residence, or KYC status;
  • create an account on behalf of someone else without their authorisation, or for a corporate or institutional entity, or for a person under the applicable minimum age.

Automation and access

  • access, query, or interact with the Service through bots, scripts, scrapers, headless browsers, automation frameworks, or any non-human means;
  • harvest, collect, or aggregate data from the Service except through APIs we publish for that purpose;
  • circumvent, attempt to circumvent, or assist others to circumvent any security mechanism, age check, geo-restriction, rate limit, anti-fraud system, anti-cheat system, or quota;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code or non-public APIs from the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by mandatory law;
  • use a virtual private network, proxy, residential-proxy network, smart-DNS, or other tool to disguise your country of residence or to access the Service from a country where it is not offered.

Outcome integrity

  • manipulate, attempt to manipulate, or collude to manipulate any prediction outcome, leaderboard, mini-league, campaign, mission, referral programme, or reward distribution;
  • use, share, or solicit insider information relevant to a prediction outcome;
  • engage in match-fixing, spot-fixing, or any related conduct in any sport, market, or event covered by the Service;
  • engage in wash trading, layering, spoofing, or any other manipulative trading on Midas Exchange in connection with promotional credit;
  • coordinate predictions with other users in order to gain an unfair advantage in a campaign or leaderboard;
  • exploit a known bug, defect, or unintended behaviour of the Service for value, instead of reporting it to security@midium.live;
  • abuse referral, signup, or invitation programmes by self-referring, ring-referring, or referring synthetic accounts.

Lawfulness

  • use the Service for, or in connection with, money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, tax evasion, or any criminal offence;
  • use the Service while you are subject to relevant economic sanctions or while located in a country subject to comprehensive sanctions;
  • use the Service in any manner that infringes the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any person.

Content

  • upload, post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content (including a username or avatar) that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, obscene, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or that depicts or sexualises minors;
  • send unsolicited promotional or commercial messages through any feature of the Service;
  • impersonate the Operator, our staff, our partners, or any other person.

Service integrity

  • interfere with, disrupt, or place unreasonable load on the Service, our infrastructure, or any user's experience;
  • conduct security testing, vulnerability scanning, or load testing without our prior written authorisation;
  • introduce or distribute malware, ransomware, key-loggers, or any other malicious code through the Service.

Bug bounties and responsible disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability please report it to security@midium.live before disclosing it publicly. We will acknowledge receipt within five business days and work with you on remediation. Good-faith research conducted within the scope of a disclosure programme we publish is welcome and will not be treated as a violation of this AUP.

Consequences of breach

If we have a reasonable belief that you have breached this AUP we may, depending on the nature and severity of the breach, take any of the following actions, with or without prior notice: issue a formal warning; temporarily restrict or suspend access to specific features or to the Service as a whole; terminate your account permanently; forfeit any unspent XP, unactivated promotional credit, or pending campaign rewards on your account; recover, claw back, or reverse any benefits, balances, or wagering profits we determine were obtained in breach of this AUP, including from associated accounts; ban any payment instruments, devices, IP addresses, or identity documents associated with the breach from being used on the Service; report the breach to law enforcement, financial-intelligence units, sports-integrity bodies, app stores, payment processors, or other competent authorities; and pursue any other remedy available to us under contract or law. In cases of suspected fraud, money-laundering, or imminent harm to other users we may act without prior notice.

To report content that you believe infringes intellectual-property rights, follow the procedure at /legal/dmca. To request reconsideration of an enforcement action against your account: appeals@midium.live. We will review and respond within 30 days.
