The big summer update: play together, win together

Mini-leagues with chat, head-to-head rivalries, DMs, a pixel-art avatar builder, referral missions, the Cash Skill board, quests, and more — everything that landed in Midium over the past few months.

Midium has been shipping fast since the World Cup campaign kicked things off in June. If you haven't opened the app in a while, here's what you missed — and if you play every day, here's the tour of everything that quietly appeared around you.

Midium got social

The biggest shift: Midium is no longer just you against the leaderboard.

  • Mini-leagues. Spin up a private league with an invite code and race your friends on your own table. Every league has its own group chat, so the trash talk stays in the family.
  • Head-to-head records. Open any rival's profile and compare your records across the cards you've both answered — one screen that settles who actually reads the game better.
  • Direct messages. DM other players, with full control: archive, block, report, edit and unsend.
  • Public profiles. Every player now has a shareable profile at midium.live/u/… with their level, win rate, points and streak. Drop yours anywhere.
  • Pixel-art avatars. Build your own avatar — hair, eyes, outfit, accessories — and wear it on every board you climb.

Invite friends, both of you win

The referral program is live end-to-end. Share your personal link from the app; when a friend installs Midium through it and plays their first game, the invite counts automatically — no codes to type, even on a brand-new phone. Rewards land on both sides, and referral missions pay out in tiers as your invites stack up. How it works →

A fairer way to rank skill

The leaderboard grew a second rail: the Cash Skill board, ranked by confidence-adjusted accuracy rather than volume. A proven 40-of-45 record outranks a lucky 3-of-3, a minimum-predictions bar keeps flukes out, and prize ties break by a published, seeded draw. The XP board is still there for the grinders — the skill board is for the sharpshooters.

Quests, polls and campaign days

Campaigns now carry quests: day-gated objective lists that mix play goals with social tasks, complete with proof uploads and a weekly meta-goal bonus. The lobby picked up a daily poll — vote, earn XP, and watch the community result light up. Missions got referral tiers, and the home screen now surfaces featured quests directly.

Draws you can actually watch

The daily prize draw became an event: scheduled showtimes with a countdown, a live reveal, and a TV mode for big screens. Quiet stretches can now settle as multi-day draws — one draw covers the whole period and the winner card shows its date range. Every auto draw remains reproducible from a public seed.

Quality of life

  • Sign in your way — email magic link or code, Google, Apple, Telegram, your Midas Exchange account, or a passkey with Face ID / fingerprint.
  • Collection hub — achievements, repeatable stamps for standout moments, and a Badge Shop where XP or MDS buys cosmetic badges.
  • Streak shields, richer notifications, in-app support chat, and 11 languages.

And if you want more: Midium Pro

Playing Midium is free, in every arena, forever. For players who want more at-bats there's now Midium Pro — an optional subscription with more games per day, a reward multiplier, a streak shield and weekly premium games. It's never required to play or win; it just gives the obsessed more to do.

That's the summer so far. The next campaign is warming up — keep an eye on the campaigns page, and see you on the board.
