This Risk Disclaimer is part of our Terms of Service at /legal/terms. It explains, in plain language, what Midium is, what it is not, and what risks you should be aware of. Capitalised terms used here have the meaning given in the Terms.

Midium is entertainment

Midium is a daily prediction game. It is intended for entertainment. It is not, and we do not present it as, a means to earn a living, generate guaranteed returns, replace investment advice, or replace independent professional judgment about any sport, financial market, political event, or other outcome covered by the Service.

XP is not money

The experience points ("XP") earned through gameplay are an in-app score. XP is not a currency, security, financial instrument, or asset of monetary value; cannot be sold, gifted, transferred between accounts, or withdrawn; has no exchange value outside the Midium application; and may be reduced, expired, frozen, or revoked in accordance with the Terms.

Conversion to Midas Exchange benefits is discretionary

Where the application allows you to exchange XP for promotional credit on Midas Exchange, the conversion is offered at our sole discretion. The conversion ratios, the form of the resulting credit, the activation rule, the wagering or turnover requirement, the validity window, and the eligibility criteria are configured by the Operator and may be modified, suspended, or withdrawn at any time. We do not guarantee any particular conversion ratio.

Promotional credit is non-withdrawable

Trading bonuses or fee discounts received on Midas Exchange as a result of XP conversion, mission completion, campaign placement, or referral are non-withdrawable promotional value. They are subject to: a minimum activation deposit (currently equivalent to USD 10); a wagering or turnover requirement before any associated trading profit becomes withdrawable; a time-limited validity window (currently 14 days from activation); the full terms and conditions of Midas Exchange in force at the time of issuance and use, including its rules on bonus stacking, withdrawal, anti-money-laundering, sanctions, and tax-reporting; and the terms of any campaign-specific prize rules where the credit derives from a campaign. If you do not satisfy the activation, wagering, or expiry conditions the credit lapses without compensation.

Profits and losses on Midas Exchange

If you trade on Midas Exchange, including with promotional credit, you may lose your principal. Trading involves substantial risk, including the risk of losing more than you initially deposited where margin or leverage is used. Past performance is not indicative of future results. The Operator is not a broker, exchange, or investment adviser, and nothing in the Service constitutes investment, legal, tax, or other professional advice. Decisions about whether and how to trade on Midas Exchange are yours alone.

Outcomes are uncertain

Every prediction in Midium has an uncertain outcome. We do not predict winners. We do not advise on which side of a card to swipe. We do not provide tipping services. Statistics, odds, prices, scores, news headlines, sport-data feeds, polling data, market data, and any other content displayed in or through the Service are provided for general information only and may be incorrect, delayed, incomplete, or rounded.

We rely on third-party data

We source match schedules, sport metadata, market prices, polling data, headlines, and similar content from third parties. Those providers may make errors, change their data after the fact, suspend their service, or impose new licensing terms. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party data, and we may resolve, void, or rescore predictions in line with our published resolution policy where data we relied on is later corrected.

App-store and platform changes

Apple, Google, Microsoft, Azure, and other platforms on which the Service depends may change their policies, fee structures, or technical capabilities at any time. We may need to remove features, change pricing, or restrict availability in particular regions in response to such changes. We accept no responsibility for the consequences of such changes.

Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance to the extent caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil disorder, government action, sanctions, labour disputes, network or power failures, sport postponement, or pandemic.

No professional advice

Nothing on the Service is investment, legal, tax, accounting, or other professional advice. If you are uncertain whether participating in the Service is suitable for you, given your circumstances, please consult an appropriately qualified independent professional.
